About Veronica Carlson
Veronica Carlson (born 18 September 1944) is an English model and actress, famous for her roles in the ‘Hammer’ horror films. In her mid-twenties, Carlson played a few minor parts in films and television programmes; she was later discovered in a newspaper by James Carreras, who then offered her a role opposite Christopher Lee in ‘Dracula Has Risen from the Grave’. She went on to star in two further Hammer Horror films, ‘Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed’ and ‘The Horror of Frankenstein’.
Carlson also appeared in the ‘Randall and Hopkirk’ episode “The Ghost Who Saved the Bank at Monte Carlo” in 1969, an episode of ‘The Saint’ (“The Man who Gambled with Life”) and also an episode of ‘Department S’ (“The Double Death of Charlie Crippen”). She went into semi-retirement after marrying and moving to the United States, however emerged from 24 years of retirement in 2019 to star in the film ‘House of the Gorgon’. Learn More…
