Emmanuelle Seigner (born 22 June 1966) is a French actress, former fashion model, and singer. Seigner’s first appearance on-screen was in the 1985 production of Princess of the Bahamas in ‘Detective’, directed by Jean-Luc Goddard. She is known for her roles in ‘The Diving Bell and ‘The Butterfly’, ‘The Ninth Gate’ and ‘Frantic’. 

She has been nominated for a César Award for Best Actress for ‘Venus in Fur’, and for two César Awards for Best Supporting Actress in ‘Place Vendôme’ and ‘La Vie En Rose’. She has been married to Polish film director Roman Polanski since 30 August 1989. Her husband directed her in ‘Frantic’, ‘Bitter Moon’, ‘The Ninth Gate’, ‘Venus in Fur’, ‘Based On A True Story’ and ‘An Officer and a Spy’, as recent as 2019. Learn More…
